Job Description:
TI Processors has a strong and robust software development team focused on solving some of the most challenging technical problems in automotive and industrial domains. From enabling connectivity in the car, to ensuring deterministic communication needed for industrial applications like factory automation, networking is one of the key technology enablers for numerous applications.
As a Software Program Management Engineer – You will find yourself in middle of solving challenging problems in the creation of embedded system-based solutions. You will be working with Cross function Software, Silicon design, business and Program management worldwide teams which are responsible to create and deliver Software solutions across TI processors and MCU businesses. Your work will involve Managing Software programs for different stages of software development life cycle starting from software product kickoff, planning, development, validation, and support cycles. Your role demands you to work across the lifecycle of a software products from requirement gathering, planning, design, coding and testing. During this journey, you will be mentored by senior program managers and software leaders to create a winnable and collaborative working environment.
Skills needed:
Good communication, fearless, conflict resolution, goal setting, negotiation skills.
Basic Experience of product development process and methodology
Experience is software development process is an added advantage but not mandatory
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
2-3 years industry experience including working on embedded devices.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science.
Primary responsibilities:
Work with world wide cross function software, Silicon design, program management, customer applications and business teams to own and execute the SOC SW program through its development cycle of planning, development, testing, and maintenance.
On time execution within the goals set for the program.
Stakeholder management to ensure clear communication for timely status reporting and managing their support to the program.
Identify and drive improvements to the Software development processes.
Work closely with third party vendors to manage their deliverables into the program.
Able to look at software deliverables from end user point of view – ease of use, well documented code, design documents. Participate in customer discussions to understand their requirements and help to translate it to TI software.
