We are seeking a product engineer (PE) to work on new products and previously released products, and to ensure that products shipped meet specification and quality goals. The PE is also responsible for debugging IC test issues and/or yield issues that may arise in fab, assembly and test during production. The PE may serve as a member of new product development teams to ensure the products are designed for manufacturability, testability, reliability and quality. The PE may act as a central product resource to assist with releasing new products into production. Collaboration with design, test, validation and application engineering, as well as factories throughout the world is required, so good communication and presentation skills are a must.
o Supporting released products through all phases of production
o Performing statistical analysis, yield enhancement and analysis
o Performing device qualification
o Understanding IC process, package, assembly and test
o Offloading devices to alternate TI factories as needed
o Debugging customer returns and submitting to Failure Analysis
o Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with 5 + years’ experience
o New product development and sustaining experience in Product Engineering discipline
o Solid background in analog devices
o Good understanding of statistical methods and data analysis tools
o Able to work proactively on identifying problems and solve them
o Able to work on the bench testing and characterizing ICs
o Experience with automated test equipment and bench instrumentation
o Able to plan and execute to meet critical deadlines and deliverables
o Candidate should be team oriented, have strong ability to multi-task and able to work with TI-internal and external groups (design, test, QA, A/T, process and subcons) to resolve issues across global cultures and different regions, time zones.
o The ability to work well with others and to perform in a team environment is extremely important.
o Problem solving and communication (written and oral) are important skills in this role.
o Test circuit design and layout
o Understanding of analog Sensing Products.
o C programming experience
