Job Description 1. Responsible for placing and managing purchase orders for Worldwide Procurement and Logistics (WPL).

  1. Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions, interprets purchasing procedures to departments and vendors, as a specialist in assigned material categories.

  2. Contact suppliers to obtain prices and schedule optimum delivery dates and handling expedite requests.

  3. Continually maintain price revisions, order cancellations, changing delivery dates

  4. Reconcile invoice and receiving discrepancies

  5. Assist in finding acceptable substitutes for discontinued items.

  6. Monitor and resolve issues regularly through exception and compliance reports to ensure compliance with business rules, policies and Sarbanes Oxley.

This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment. Examines and analyzes purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contacts department or initiator to clarify or complete information; determines method to process requisition based on dollar amount, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding. Identifies and selects vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date.
