Texas Instruments Process Development Engineer in Lehi, Utah

Description

Texas Instruments is looking for a motivated engineer with a passion for lithography process development and innovation to work at our Lehi, Utah Fab. This position provides the opportunity to drive advance lithography techniques to achieve device specifications. We are searching for a self-directed, experienced engineer to join our Photolithography Development Team to help deliver analog and embedded semiconductors to critical markets. The hired candidates must possess strong data analysis skills including planning, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting controlled tests to evaluate the factors that control the value of a parameter or group of parameters (Design of Experiments). This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with lithography, Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) data collection, metrology, lithography software and/or modelling capabilities who enjoy a technical challenge working with equipment, processes, and process integration. The hired candidate will have demonstrated technical leadership and a history of innovation in lithography process.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) experience

  • Experience using Design of Experiments (DOE) methods

  • Resist material qualification and testing methods

  • Characterizing hard mask influence on the Lithography and Etch pattern transfer

  • Leading Lithography projects and influencing cross functional teams

  • Data analysis using lithography software and analytical technics

  • Define internal roadmaps for process capability improvement and variation reduction to address yield issues

  • Transfer product technologies from and to TI factories and foundries (including handoff of development at defined milestones)

  • Partner with Process Integration to address loss of baseline yield performance and drive resolution to yield pareto items

  • Process control plan ownership, including SPC, Reaction Mechanisms, Qual Plans, APC, and FMEA

  • Proactively characterize processes using inline tools, such as, Metrology and YE to foresee yield marginalities before they becomepart of a yield or defect pareto

  • Regularly participate in data analysis and drive root cause problem resolution

  • Develop and implement methodologies to improve characterization efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvements

  • Teamwork interacting with a wide variety of teams (Integration, Manufacturing, Planning)

  • Develops new of modified processes, defines processing and equipment requirements and specifications; reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture of products. Involvement may begin at any step from Paper Study, Pilot Plant to full-scale manufacturing

  • Basic programing experience to efficiently help data collection and streamline analysis

  • Leadership with vendors to define and execute on equipment and process development roadmaps

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • 5 years semiconductor experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

  • Strong foundation in statistical process control, engineering change control and process release strategies

Preferred qualifications:

  • Immersion lithography experience including overlay high order corrections and modeling

  • Photo resist and hard mask characterization experience

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills including model-based problem solving

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management skills that enable multitasking and on-time project delivery

  • Semiconductor publications indicating work history

  • Data collection, simulation, and verification of Photolithography processes including recipe setup and Optical Proximity Correction (OPC)
