Business Summary:
EMEA Accounting`s mission is to provide accurate, high quality, meaningful reporting to internal and external stakeholders. This requires building a strong relationship to our business partners and ensuring compliant processes in all areas.
Primary Responsibilities / Job description:
Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close processes for one or more legal entities in TI's EMEA region
Ensure robust internal control and compliance processes
Executing key projects related to the entities
Leverage best practices and harmonization of processes within the team, EMEA corporate entities and with WW Accounting
Responsible for timely reporting of various statutory requirements - including VAT declarations and payment – and statistics reporting to local authorities, among others
Responsible for the calculation, forecasting and correct recording of tax liabilities both to the local authorities as well as internally
Interact with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting according to US GAAP, local statutory, and local tax regulations
Periodic presentations to peers and management on the financial state of a legal entity
Work with internal and external partners to ensure accuracy of all financial data in the entity. Examples include purchase to pay, legal department, local and US tax departments, Human Resources, external auditors, payroll and tax consultants
Forecasting and reporting on external consultancy spend
Cashflow and FX exposure forecasting
Other duties in support of EMEA Accounting as defined
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Education:
Knowledge/Experience: Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to work on multiple, complex tasks with short deadlines; Must have strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Organization Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural understanding.
Team & People Skills: Clear and effective communication and people skills within and outside the team are essential. Strong presentation skills on all levels.
Experience Controlling
Additional skills and experience:
Proficiency with MS Office (primarily Excel) required. Experience in BPC, Business objects is a plus.
Proficiency in English; German or any other language is a plus
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting.
