This role will entail serving as counsel on Texas Instruments’ (TI) Law Department team working on real estate, construction, energy and environmental, safety and health matters. TI is a leading global semiconductor company, and is in the midst of a multi-billion dollar, multi-year expansion, adding significant new manufacturing capacity in the US and worldwide, while also enhancing its R&D investments.

Key areas of work will include real estate, construction, and energy matters, including renewables. The role will entail drafting and reviewing documentation (including contracts), advising on environmental, safety and health (ESH) regulations and compliance, helping devise and advocate TI’s legal strategy in domains like construction, energy and ESH, and working on litigation/disputes related to these areas.

Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on international issues as a member of TI’s broader worldwide Law Department.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

The candidate must have a JD or equivalent, should be qualified to the bar in at least 1 U.S. jurisdiction and have around 4 – 7 years’ experience either in-house or in a law firm working on real estate, construction, energy, environmental, safety, or health matters. The candidate must have strong drafting and advocacy skills. It is imperative for the candidate to have the ability to work both autonomously and in a team, and to collaborate with others cross functionally. The position may require some domestic travel, and occasional international travel. This candidate must be proficient in using information technology resources with the ability to quickly understand, devise and implement processes to enhance efficiency and workflows where needed.
