Texas Instruments ITS Private Cloud Infrastructure Manager in Dallas, Texas

As the leader of TI’s Private Cloud Infrastructure organization, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our private cloud transformation strategy. You will lead a team of functional managers who are responsible for owning and executing the strategy for each component of the private cloud stack. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background in private cloud infrastructures, excellent strategic thinking, and a passion for driving results.

This team is responsible for:

  • Executing our private cloud transformation strategy to implement self-service and self-healing solutions

  • Portfolio management of the solutions/capabilities in the private cloud infrastructure stack

  • Defining specs, reference architectures, and standards for how to leverage these solutions/capabilities

  • Maintaining a global fleet of storage, hypervisors, virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and databases

  • Partner with our application teams to understand new/existing requirements and assisting with end solution design

What you will do and achieve:

Cross functional strategic leadership:

  • Lead and scale the team and technology stack, from conceptualization to implementation

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute on strategic initiatives

  • Partner with network, datacenter, and application teams on roadmaps, supportability, and operationalization of new technologies

  • Lead with a Security focus, helping protect TI data as a foundation of solutions.

Organizational Strategy

  • Lead multiple organizations looking for opportunities to reduce friction, increase efficiency and collaboration, while driving execution.

  • Set multi-year organization strategy including investment levels and needed skillsets.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, collaboration, and excellence within the team.

Talent Management

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high performing team of site reliability engineers, system administrators, database administrators, and system architects

  • Build and grow site reliability engineering skillset within organization

  • Drive team and self to perform forward looking research and benchmarking to understand emerging technologies and best practices

Technical Strategy

  • Understand business needs to enable/develop correct private cloud infrastructure solutions.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.

  • Stay at the forefront of cutting-edge trends and relevant methodologies related to private cloud infrastructure

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with business leaders across TI to understand customer needs and architect/develop solutions.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7 years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability in leading and scaling teams, with a knack for hiring, coaching, and managing talent

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving abilities, and leadership abilities to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion

  • Demonstrate commitment to high standards of ethics and values, regulatory compliance, and business integrity

  • Excellent management skills to drive the personal development of the team and individuals

  • 5 years of experience in Private Cloud Infrastructure (Networking, storage, hypervisor, operating systems, databases, kubernetes)

  • Familiar with DevOps and SRE concepts

  • Experience with leading teams to automate manual administrative tasks

  • Understanding of data security trends, techniques, and technologies
