Description

We can't predict what the future holds, but we know Texas Instruments will have a part in shaping it.

Texas Instruments manufactures tens of billions of analog and embedded processing semiconductors annually, across more than 80,000 different products, and delivers them to more than 100,000 customers around the globe. A core element of our strategy is to invest in our internal manufacturing capacity – both in wafer fabs and assembly-test(AT) sites. Our AT manufacturing is undergoing significant expansion, modernization and automation to meet the increasing customer demand for decades ahead, and we are growing our internal manufacturing and operations to more than 90%. In addition to owning our manufacturing capacity, we also own our process, packaging and test technology development, enabling us introduce new product designs with highest quality and efficiency.

At the Manufacturing Solutions IT organization in TI, we are investing in transformative manufacturing technologies to deliver differentiated analog and embedded processing semiconductor products with highest quality and efficiency. Our charter is to build AT smart manufacturing solutions to accomplish highest operational efficiency, enabled through digital twins followed by real-time predictive analysis and control of tools and processes across AT manufacturing line. Our goal is to maximize product throughput, enabled by synergizing AT tools, technology, data analytics, robotics and IT infrastructure.

We are seeking a highly motivated AT Robotics & Automation Leader to drive next generation AT manufacturing technology through smart, connected systems. If you are passionate to push the envelope of AT manufacturing technology and enjoy leading transformational changes in a fast paced environment, here is the opportunity to be part of TI’s next generation smart manufacturing journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep awareness of AT manufacturing processes, tools, revenue cycles, production planning, and translate complex AT problems into elegant touch free solutions on the manufacturing floor

  • Develop roadmaps leveraging emerging technologies to impact semiconductor manufacturing and enable/develop models to derive predictions

  • Set the strategic and technical design of AI architectures, and come up with actionable plans for SW experts and industrial engineers aligning with futuristic goals/ trends in AT manufacturing

  • Lead a team of software specialists to define and operationalize forward looking software solutions to centralize operations management in a smart control room for assembly, test, bump and probe manufacturing systems

  • Embrace AI-driven software technologies, data science & robotics to transform current flows and manufacturing procedures, enable operational efficiency and cost leadership. Leverage statistical approaches, trend and pattern analysis, linear mixed models for random & fixed effects, nonlinear/combinatorial optimization in finite search space, network models, and machine learning for predictions of AT scheduling and operations.

  • Closely collaborate with manufacturing technologists and industrial engineers in the company and industry to influence architectures and optimize/customize smart manufacturing IT solutions. Responsibilities also involve evaluation of technology approaches to solve real-world problems and participate in standards councils.

  • The candidate will manage smart manufacturing deliverables with a strong quality and productivity mindset – and the solutions should enable manufacturing of highly customized semiconductor products aligning with large fluctuations in customer demand at speed and scale
