Job Description Responsible for a specific product or group of products from development planning through production release and ensures the product is designed for manufacturability and reliability. The product engineer ensures that products shipped meet specification and quality goals and may also be required to provide sustaining support for these products post development release. Interfaces as a central product resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, reliability, and marketing as the product(s) move into production. Formulates and executes long term plans for cost/profit control.
