Texas Instruments Security Manager in Aguascalientes, Mexico

The Security Manager is responsible for the administrative supervision of the security organization. Responsibilities may include developing and implementing security awareness programs, extra protection for key employees, travel security assistance, and security risk assessment and planning in the area of crisis management. This individual develops, implements and maintains security procedures to meet required codes and regulations. They also select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance security operations through continuous evaluation and improvement.

  • Establishes the appropriate levels of security for TI Aguascalientes site and ensures all applicable security protocols are being enforced.

  • Reviews and updates emergency plans and security policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for evaluating and recommending all electronic security that will enhance the overall quality and efficiency of TI Aguascalientes security.

  • Remains current on issues regarding changes to laws, ordinances, rules, and /or procedures affecting the TI Mexico security program.

  • Ensures all WWPS Security Standards are effectively implemented and maintains compliance with the site, such as C-TPAT/OEA.

  • Performs routine audits and inspections to identify security gaps and/or risks to ensure compliance.

  • Coordinates and manages Contract Security personnel to ensure essential job functions are completed and maintains working knowledge of security contracts, approves security staffing, and assists with billing reviews..

  • Coordinates special events requiring security and emergency services support for the site.

  • Effectively manages and leads assigned projects and actively participates in various global project teams, etc.

  • Maintains and cultivates relationships with Site Leadership, partners with Facilities and ESH and engages with law enforcement, and fire agencies.

  • Maintains financial oversight of assigned cost center to include forecasting, capital projections, cost reductions, etc.

  • Responds to and/or assists subordinates in responding to emergency events and becomes Incident Commander Level 3 qualified.

  • Conducts or may assign personnel to internal security-related investigations when necessary and will ensure adequate completion of incident reports. May assist with investigations in collaboration with the Global Investigations Team.

  • Working knowledge of key TI Facilities processes and operations.

  • Administer Emergency Response Program (ERT) as defined in the WWPS ES ERT Standard 11-100-01

  • Maintain a system for regularly communicating the frequency and significance of emergency incidents, including recommendations for prevention of future occurrences to the facility management for review

  • Ensuring that all elements of the Emergency Response Team(s); hazmat, fire, rescue, medical program(s) and policies comply with state, federal or local jurisdictional requirements

  • Maintaining membership in the ERT(s) organization and ensuring that an adequate number of trained persons are assigned per shift as defined in the WWPS ES ERT Standard 11-100-01 and individual site strategy statements

  • Ensuring initial and ongoing training of team members is conducted including the completion of practice drills or exercises

  • Selecting and procuring emergency response equipment, supplies, and PPE

  • Coordinate with public emergency service providers; planning, training, and other activities that promote mutual response effectiveness

  • Ensure that a program is in place for medical monitoring and surveillance physicals

  • Administer physical performance testing for each team member every three (3) years

Minimum requirements:

  • 4 years’ experience managing people or processes or data and/or experience in Security, Police, Fire or Military

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years’ experience managing people or processes or data and/or experience in Security, Police, Fire or Military

  • Strong communication and customer-focused orientation.

  • Ability to work with customers on security-related issues and provide adequate solutions.

  • Detail oriented and well organized; able to prioritize, and coordinate tasks and projects

  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.

  • Strong collaborative skills; ability to work efficiently with other team members as well as contract security personnel.

  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.

  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, assertive, energetic, and influential.
